I am cleaning up and repainting a VHF-AM and UHF-AM aircraft antenna today.

I haven’t seen one of these before Mac, very interesting.
The GRC 206 is a serious bit of kit, I see that a few of them are owned by collectors in the states.
What are you thinking for a colour match for the CARC green paint?
Cheers,
Mike.

Mike,
I was waiting for my wife to get another can of flat green paint before I started. I was going to sand the rough paint edges and apply paint. I hadn't thought the antenna might have CARC paint on it. Normally you see the "CARC" warning stenciled on the equipment. I guess the safest bet is to repaint with flat dark green without disturbing the original paint. When I get it mounted on the LR, I'll post a photo.
Thank you for making me aware of the CARC paint.
Cheers,
Mac

No problem Mac,
Apologies, I didn’t realise that you are in the States!
I think just repainting it will be fine, it may be possible to get a good colour match in your neck of the woods as well.
Cheers,
Mike.
