Title: Tac Plate Mounts

I am restoring a Series IIa ARN 174-483. It has been a long process.
There are three holes to mount a Tac plate holder on the left front mudguard but none on the right. Instead there are two vertical rows of small holes. Looking at the image https://www.flickr.com/photos/152321353@N07/39598245765/ it appears that the right hand plate is set forward of the mudguard and aligns with the brush bar.
Can someone help me with how to mount the right hand front Tac plate?

Under it there are two vertical rows of holes for rivets - there is a spacing bracket to move the plate out perhaps 25mm from the mudguard. Then the tac bracket aka tac holder is riveted in turn to the spacer bracket. Passenger LHS the tac holder is straight onto the mudguard.

While I've got your attention, do you know if/where I could get a bridge weight classification plate? My Landy has the holes for it. I believe the Army removed them at some point so, I was considering not putting one back. But open holes look odd.

BWC plates are rocking horse manure prices. There were even some alternatives to getting them via the UK. Others here will have more recent knowledge.

Over here my son Scott is getting knee deep into his Series 2A 88in he purchased in October this year. That restoration currently on the chassis section.

Looking at the last photo I can see that I will need to make up a piece that fits the holes in my mudguard and, brings out the Tac plate to about level with the inside of the brush bar. Shouldn't be too hard to fabricate. Pity about the BWC plate. Will have to keep my eyes peeled.

I've had a lot of fun with mine. Had it all off the chassis which took an awful lot of welding to get rid of all the rust. Turned out not to bad even if I say so myself. I should be ready to reregister it early next year. So looking forward to that.

It stands off so that the blackout light will not illuminate the sign.

Should be fairly easy to fold one up, let me know if you want the dimensions,

Incidentally, I think that this bracket is also used on the TAC sign holders fitted to the rear chassis on the workshop vehicles.

I make the tac holders Garry but I am missing the bracket; I don't sell on ebay; perhaps it was me you were thinking of,
