so you were the one who bought these at the recent grays auction. I used to work with these, they are uhf/vhf, but unfortunately they are incomplete. There is another attachment for the 4 captive screws on the plate. They were used by sigs in RR and CSA dets. In another lot someone got the the 3 x Radios, was that you? The were mounted on pump up masts. Made by Tadiran and developed in Australia for the ADF by BA.

Thanks for the heads up, I do have the radios and I also brought more of these over the past 6 months, I think I have cornered the market on them.

sounds like you have leftovers of a CSA, if its the laptop bit and distribution you essentially have a switch, like a PABX. You then use your antennas and radios for RR dets to interface into you. CSA would have been at HQ. Now you just need the phones and some 2 wire!If you post the pics I can identify. This stuff was only used in field sig units. This stuff was comms network in East Timor 99. Was introduced about 1995/6 I recall

STA's were introduced 95/96... remainder of the network was a coupe of years later.
Once upon a time, I qual'd as a Parakeet Network Controller :)
Cheers.

AGAS5 I see you have commented before on this stuff.
The antenna Brettwild has would have gone on the push up unit mounted on the front of that sixby, but looks to be the interface is missing from the antennas to connect the two.
I might have some old pics.

I found this pic, East Timor 99 at 1 Field Hospital, we deployed there to provide comms. I see some part of what you got there Brett!

How about some photos of the radios you bought?
