Title: Perenties on the Canning Stock Route 1996.
Post by: Carzee on May 06, 2018, 08:32:25 PM
A person on Facebook, Drew Thornton, posted some photos of a trip on the Canning Stock Route in 1996.
The post identifies the members as "7 Signal Regt EW Cabarlah Qld".

Interesting modifications regarding spare wheels on the FFR to say the least. I also see waterbags.

Ummm, I spy with my little eye, in the last of those photos (the one with a couple of craftsmen and welder), is there a 6x6... crewcab??

I see in the last photo that there's a vice somehow attached to the rear of the chassis with a none military tow hitch under repair.
Helping out some travelers maybe?
Cheers Rob

Not a crew cab, just has the forward side dropped down. Crew cabs finish a lot closer to the front of the intermediate wheels rather than between the bogie.
