My 6 x 6 when on the left tank is sucking air and loses power - switching back onto the right hand tank and away we go again! So far - LH tank removed and cleaned, - new filters, new rubber fuel and return lines throughout, banjo filter cleaned, cannot see any leaks anywhere! I am thinking a very small hole somewhere in the system too small to leak fuel but enough to suck air - tried everything, tank full, tank empty, pressure in system, again, no appreciable leaks - So has anyone had a similar problem and what did you do to fix it - it is driving me nuts! This started at Corowa and has gotten pregressively worse in that whilst running the engine at reasonable revs, there were no problems, only at idle! Now the LH tank and system is completely unreliable!

Sounds like the Pollak valve if you have checked all the suction line.

Hi Diver, have you been through this post?

The Pollak valve is usually reliable but as the above thread attests, it can cause some headaches - the valve itself is available from the importer Scintex either direct or via ebay.
Cheap clones from the US are also listed on ebay but I think sticking with the OME for such a critical item could be well advised.

G'day Stddiver,
As mentioned previously by Bearman and Dugite I would be looking at the Pollak valve. It was the problem in my truck. They are a bit over $200 delivered in a couple of days from Scintex.
Thinking back before I had my problems I filled up my right side tank then changed over to the left side tank before leaving the servo, got out of the drive way and it started to starve for fuel. I changed back over to the right tank and all was good. It wasn't long after that when the Pollak valve wouldn't change tanks.
Hope this helps.
Cheers Rob

Hi Rob and Dugite - Thanks for the advice ... as said if you rule out all other possibilities, whatever remains must be the truth - Okay, as I have tried everything else, I will get a pollack valve and give it a go! Many thanks gents -
