Here is a in-service and in-country photo from the AWM.
A museum in Dili ET, 23 Dec 1999. The curators at AWM have captioned the Perentie as probably a ADG with Mag58s.
"Dili, East Timor. 23 December 1999. A panoramic view of the Dili Museum which is being used as a hospital by the Australian Army, part of the International Force for East Timor (Interfet). A number of the storage containers have a red cross on them. In the foreground is a Land Rover 110, with a MAG 58 machine gun on a pedastel mount on the front and rear, probably a RAAF Airfield Defence Guard vehicle."
Is it ADG or RFSV Mk1? Was there any difference back in 99? If it was ADG would've been out of Darwin and 396 ECSW?

Its not Pilbara Pink, and we weren't rear mounting Mag 58's at that time, so my guess is ADG. Don't forget, ADG didn't have a dedicated vehicle per se, they initially had GS and later took the RFSV and adapted it.

A very helpful member has sent over a couple of photos of RFSV (as issued or 'Mk1') included in a East Timor commemorative publication.
One says its of a Recon patrol in Dili.

G'day carzee.
A very small number of Norforce rfsvs were loaned due to their suitability. Don't know why they didn't source some SRVs from ARA recon. I spose chockos just shut up and do as they are told ;)
