Title: ROHS Steel Rims
Post by: jamestkirk on August 08, 2017, 09:36:53 AM
Hello All,

Looking for 6 ROH perentie steel wheel rims. I am located in Melbourne.

Thanks.

ROH manufacture the AYG8108 steel rims that are fitted standard to Perenties, and also manufacture similar rims used on trailers. I've not heard of ROHS wheels. What application do you need the wheels for, as the trailer wheels should not be fitted to a vehicle?

My bad gunner it was a typo I am after the AYG8108 steel rims.

I want to replace the split rims on a RFSV to the standard perentie ones.

I would happily swap you a set of AYG8108 rims for the splits.

Thanks. But I would like to keep the splits. Would you be happy to sell yours?

No.
It took ages and money to collect them. I think I need about five or six more to convert my trailers to AYG8108. I have my eye on one but I will need to swap it with a lightweight rim.

yes, I was being very cheeky.

They come up for sale from time to time. Not exactly a rare item. Many of the Perentie buyers are doing things like replacing them with the Wolf tubeless rim. Maybe that would be a better option for you? (As you are keeping the splits.)

:)

I have been thinking about the wolf tubeless but can't find a definitive answer on what the load rating is for them...seems to vary a lot. If I don't find 6 of the AYG8108 then that's what I'll end up getting.

I bought Wolf tubeless and put BFG mudies on them, I have a feeling they where about 3000kg rated! might be wrong

I've got 5 brand new rims with brand new XZLs ( actually done 100kms) might be convinced to sell but not giving them away.............

cheers
Scott

Wolfs are rated at 2000kg per corner, Genuine ones that is. After market I believe are 1600kg

Hi FFRMAN

How do the Wolf/Muddies combo perform compared to the standard wheel set up?

Cheers
Rob

Exceptionally well.

Tubeless rims are the go for everyday driving. I got equivalent to 7.50s, 235 from memory.

Guys I put Bridgestone 235/85r16 on the ayg8108 rims and they rub on the radius arm. Does a wolf run have any negative offset to counter this?

Yep, I've got wolf tubeless and BFGs same size with no issues.

You need to adjust your steering stops, that is all.

Have 7 x 8018 rims, all with good rubber plus 2 x spare tyres, 2 of the wheels are fitted with what looks like cold caps all the others and the spares are Michellin. Only problem is I'm on the gold coast. I have no idea what these are worth so would appreciate input on this.

Dihusky I have seen them been sold on eBay for $125 each and they seem to sell pretty well for that price.
