The alternator on my Perentie has a low output then jumps to 16v. I assume the regulator is playing up. Has anybody had this problem and how was it fixed?
Thanks, Brian

Pretty sure the Hitachi one on the Perentie is LR170-401. Have a look on the sticker on the alternator. Try Ashdown/Ingrams - I have bought parts there for them including regulators, brushes and diode plates.
