Hmmm, the sheer length of time involved to load like this on an Exercise (not good tactically) vs the fuel cost to the RAN of making two trips? I'm thinking The Bean-Counter Corps was behind this.

One bloke is scratching his head, another is rolling up a smoke the other with the aviator sunglasses is playing it cool but thinking Holy crap I've gotta drive these thing off here!

They went to the trouble of chaining them down. Like they are going to move packed in like that
