I'll go a FFR, a LRPV, a 1250kg Haulmark or two, a dual cap 6x6, and then I'll start looking at some other stuff.

No. We have no money.
If we had money, we wouldn't be wanting these toys, we'd have them.
But, then we'd no longer have the money, which we didn't have in the first place.

Vicious circle.

That's why we bought 4x4s and 6x6s, because we like to take topics off track whenever the opportunity arises.

A dumb question probably, but what is the purpose/benefits of the split rims which are on the RFSV and others versus normal Perentie rims.

uh-oh, "back on track" with a sensible question, thanks Doz  :)

I guess the short answer is that split rims can make tyre repairs simpler, but users need to be aware of the life-endangering risks that go with changing tyres on 'em.

For example, the user handbook says to place the assembled wheel&tyre under the engine block/sump when reinflating !

I've changed to using D1 rims on my RFSV in part for ease of balancing (but I've held onto my s/rs w/high milers  :) )

Thanks Dugite.  I doubt I will ever be making tyre repairs in the field especially given the RFSV carry two spares, but I am also thinking of doing the same and hanging on to the current set but using Wolf rims for every day use.
