Title: Tyre pressure markings
Post by: Magellan on January 29, 2016, 10:06:57 AM: All tyre pressure markings I've seen to date are in White, would it be an acceptable variation to have Black ones?

Post by: Hot Rover on January 29, 2016, 03:05:58 PM: They were usually painted white but you could do them black if you want to, don, worry about the rivet counters as most of them are nothing anyway. Rule of thumb for those who wish to paint low vis stencils on camouflage, if you are stencilling onto green or tan always do the stencil in black and if you are stencilling onto black do the stencil in green, that is how the book says to do it.

Yep I've seen Black White and Green on Perenties, and black and White on Series (although series predominantly White)

Do what ever you feel happy with..........

Post by: Magellan on January 31, 2016, 11:01:36 PM: Painted the psi in black today on the truck...v.nice. Also noticed on the no.5 faded white tyre pressure markings. Looks like 178/124 KPA. There's no '1' but could be a remnant '7' next to the eight. That's almost 26 psi down to 17(ish). Laden/unladen I'd say? Must be 'modern' markings as I suspect kpa wasn't in vogue in the '60s here
