Ahh, love 'em or hate 'em, the ultimate camping accessory.
I have been on the lookout for one of these tents for many years now, with no luck, although I have been able to acquire enough good canvas sections. The aluminium knuckles and poles are are the hard bits to find and I am considering making some up. Does anyone know the correct aluminium alloy and heat treatment specs of the poles? I recall them being quite tough and hardwearing. While there are a number of alloy suppliers that can provide ally tubing, I don't want to get the wrong grade of alloy that will bend like a $20 Chinese Camp chair.
Are the same knuckles used in the 11' and 14' tents? Do we have an RPS for the NSN's of the components of these tents?
Of course, if you have a source for the actual (genuine) poles and knuckles themselves, I would like to know!

Hi,
Yes same knuckles used for 11 x 11 and 14 x 14, the only difference is the roof poles ( the poles up to the peak and along the length) are longer on the 14x14 than the 11x11, the upright poles are the same height on both.
The original knuckles are impossible to find unless someone has "aquired" some.

Check out Aussie Disposals.
They make a fairly close copy which come with poles and knuckles.
Maybe they can provide replacement poles etc with their gear.

I already have a great set of canvas sections, it's just the alloy poles and knuckles I need. I may go to the extent of making them like that seller has, but I think Galvanised pipe might be a bit heavy!

Looks like they have the opposite problem - have the knuckles, but use home made wooden poles. It looks ok though.

Yes and no.
The canvas on my 110 came back from Afghanistan.
The humid climate kills the tents within 2 years and the value doesn't warrant a quarantine clean to bring back
