Did anyone catch the story about the 'Piano' that as used in Changi on the TV last night, the host welcomed people etc into the "war memorial" in the background there was a DC3 aka gooney bird biscuit bomber etc etc,. I was in the AWM last week and I did not see such aircraft or did I miss a building???? where it would have been housed??, can anyone shed some light on it for me, cheers Dennis

Hi Dennis,
I haven't been to the AWM for a few years, but the last heard the DC-3 was stored at the Treloar Centre (aka Mitchell annex of the AWM).

That's right Dennis, Mitchell is a N/E suburb of Canberra.
Garry, you bring up a good point - this years open day is 16 Sep... a month later than usual. Details are here: https://www.awm.gov.au/events/bigthings/ (https://www.awm.gov.au/events/bigthings/)
(Dennis, have a look at the pics from 2010 - the DC-3 is in there)
Cheers,
Pete
