For those interested in the tac plate. It is the RASig's white over blue. The number is red and reads 2 over 303.

No idea. I believe it goes back to when 2 Sig was known as the 3rd Lines of Communication Signal Regiment and perhaps even further to the 3rd Army Signal Regiment (circa 1954).

Cheers Pete, looks like a Reserve unit going by the lhs TAC?

In the late '80s and early '90s the regiment had two regular army signal squadrons (110 & 145) and a reserve signal squadron (111). It also had a regular support squadron and a regular vehicle workshop.
