Ohhh sorry... I'm on duty at a dawn Service on ANZAC Day and as I'm moving a heap of sensitive kit 51-652 will be at rest. We have another gig for the Vietnam Vets Day and possible Reserve Forces Day next year..

Woo, very busy. Hat tip.

In the second photo, the NZ flag and the NSW flag are underneath the Aussie flag. It was probably just a fact of life thing that the poles were built like that and the NZ flag had to compromise I suppose.

I will enter these as a ANZAC event - to me whether we have 1 photo, 3 photos or 20 photos, it is still a Ex-mil Landy doing service and parading.

This event had the PM and GG, somebody pulled strings perhaps - what is the significance of Warringah/Mackellar, can you just tell us a bit more about who set it up and why please.

I got a hit on Google:
All schools, sporting, community and Community and Emergency Service organisations in the two electorates have been invited to participate in the Centenary Commemoration, along with an estimated 2,500 current and ex-service members of the Defence Forces. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, 19th April 2015 with a street march from Boondah Reserve, Warriewood, at 11.00am and finishing at Pittwater Rugby Park for a Commemorative Service. The Service will conclude no later than 12.30pm. A Warringah Shute Shield rugby match will follow the Service. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students to participate in. The march is open to all children and Mrs Reeks will be there to assist with organisation.

Mrs Reeks ! :)

No problems. The organiser is an ex RAN Commodore really nice guy for a member of the Senior Service  :P. As an RSL Service Member I help the RSL's and the local Cadet Unit all the time when and where I can. The PM is a local Federal member, the Premier is the local member for Manly and The Speaker Bronwyn Bishop is also a local Federal Member.

The GG was invited and he came to complete the day. Bronwyn Bishop is very supportive of Cadets and ADF and always is happy to attend.

All RSL's on the Northern Beaches are extremely active when it comes to Community events. There was also a fly over with (2) RAAF Hawk's and a UH1H owned by Australian Native Landscapes (ANL) on display and doing a flypast.

The Avalon Tattoo is the next big event in June and the organisers want me to get as many Rovers there to do a display and participate in the parade.

Well, since the first report for 2015 it will be the first in 2015 wiki album. I also see three photos of your part in the parade in that local newspaper's album and they are good pix too. Its a huge local event, 15,000 I think was the number I saw in the rpt.

Yeah it was massive, and was pleased the WX held out as it was bucketing down at midnight. Great to see the public support for the ANZAC Centenary despite all the dramas happening with security warnings etc.
