Title: cab chasis 109in 3/4 ton

on research there was both a series  2a and a series 3 cab chassis

That's right, they were built as cab chassis and fitted with workshop platforms.

Many workshop vehicles that are in existance today have data plates noting cab chassis, but their official designation in the ARN books is of a particular workshop type.  The vice versa is also true, some originally listed as cab chassis in the arn books, but the plates on the vehicle state a workshop type.
