how much ?
-
No idea its a tender.
-
Is that the one from Gary CLR's estate? If so, there is to be an auction early Nov of all the remaining stock, whilst the Sandringham and another vehicle are as Juddy said being put to tender.
-
So - juddy or isuzu2-eh ... :)
could you post a link to the tender advertisement please
-
Wow, a rare vehicle in Australia, and looks to be fairly original and complete!
Will add the details to the database of known civy 6xx's as a Sandringham 6.
-
And it's even got a tropical roof, very rare to fined on normal landys
-
I'm sorry, I threw away the flyer as I won't be in Sydney the weeekend of the sale. Anyone who went to the LR clubs Expo at Castle Hill probably had a flyer for it.

It states the Sandringham 6 is a 110, but it seems to have a SIII body and track. Anyone know the facts?
-
Its a Stage 1 not a 110.

"Six Wheel Drive" usually refers to a 6x6, not a Lazy Axle.
-
Yes just wanted to make sure...
-
I didn't think sandringham did any 6x4's ?
-
A lot of the SIII 1 Ton TACR were 6X4 and same with the Range Rover based ones.

Diana,
I am mystified by your post above. The TACR1 SIIa and SIII were built for British military and none to my knowledge were 6x4. I actually restored one of the first TACR1 for the fire museum at RAF Manston over 20 years ago.
In service they were known to be more capable cross country than the RR TACR2 6x4

Perhaps you are correct, having never laid hands upon them I'm going from my memories of the 900 club forum a couple or four years ago. However I did have an understanding that there were some 6X4 non Range Rover airport/airfield crash rescue vehicles built by non-LR factory builders: Charmichael or Cuthbertson or similar coachbuilders.
That damned Al Zeimer has a lot to answer for! ;D

These others conversions you mention would not have been TACR1 as they were specifically for RAF and RN on 4x4 1 ton chassis. That is not to say there were not any non-RR 6x4, just that they weren't TACR ...... if you get my drift!
Not sure if I know Al Zeimer :-\
