Title: Series IIa SWB ARN 112-622
Post by: Mick_Marsh on April 19, 2014, 06:52:12 PM
Well, I picked up this little gem a little while ago.

Yesterday was the day to start work on it. Yesterday I started the stripping process and took the bonnet and guards off it. I need to paint the firewall and chassis. Obviously there will be many other things to be done to it. There are a number of small items missing, bent or broken that will need finding.
Sorry I didn't get photo's of my progress so far. I forgot the camera.

It even has the tools fitted - helpful for some restoration jobs I'm sure.

Looks super original. More pics whenever you can pls.

Well, it's been a while
Much thanks to Scott for his help. 112-622 has lost some weight.

Now that it is progressing, I'm wondering, deep bronze green?

Good question Mick, deep bronze green would bring it back to original but I reckon they look awesome in the olive drab. I look forward to watching the progress .

Good luck

Mick

And I can tell you from experience that applying Olive Drab is one hell of a lot easier/simpler than applying Deep Bronze Green just my opinion LOL, with O/drab the job is done n dusted in less than 2 days start to finish, but the choice is yours, cheers Dennis :)

Should I go Deep Bronze Green, all but the firewall would be done by a panel beater/spray painter.
I'd paint the firewall.

The decision is a long way off yet.
