I saw a small part on feebay and went looking on google to find out what its for.
Its a 'blanking disc'.

So the part covers a hole that is made in the hard top. What would the hole be used for?

Looks like a spare wheel bracket cover plate for the hardtop.

It is for a spare wheel mount. But not for long the uk mod are having a rear wheel mount made for the land rover fleet to replace the side mounts
