Stumbled across this clearance sale in NSW. Amongst one of the scrap steel lots is a very nice straight length of PSP matting.

Went to a clearing sale a couple of weeks ago, walk into the property looked at the sheep yards and said to my missus look at all the marsden matting, there must of been 50 lengths of it making up the yards, not for sale i'm afraid but the property is so will keep an eye on it.

A couple of years ago on the Channel 9 show, Farmer Wants a Wife, one of the participants was a sheep and cattle farmer. Can't remember from which state he came but his stock yard on the farm was made entirely of PSP matting. There must have been hundreds of them. Best thing about it was that the mats were kept off the ground so they were in 'as new' condition.

I have wondered what the name for Marsden matting was. Now I know!
