The database is far from 100% on the vietnam vehicles as yet, but getting better. Not a bad looking example of the breed!

Nice Looking Series 3 on Ebay,Sydney
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/land-rover-series-3-LWB-ex-army-/141292921931?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item20e5b6e44b#ht_237wt_1238

Hello All,

One of the interior photographs shows a first aid box mounted on the firewall just in front of the gear sticks. Is this a standard fitting or something a previous non-military owner has installed? Or could it be a unit thing while in service?

Kind Regards
Lionel

Not a standard fitting.   Our issue was normally a plastic box with a cliptop lid that sat in the Dashboard tray.
This could be US or UK off fleabay.
Fire Extinguisher from memory was different size and type as well.
Looks good though.  No reason can't do it yourself.
Greg

G'day Greg,

Your reply is good news as it means that it is not something else that I need to get for my Land Rover. The fire extinguishers were the now banned yellow ones BCF. They are now banned - http://www.fire.nsw.gov.au/page.php?id=633

Kind Regards

Hi there

Since the Perentie auction release - I have noticed a trend the series military prices stalled....

And yes the 2A SWB - Good price.

I have also seen this trend, very few at higher prices.

However in the civii market Series prices are for restored examples.

I see there has been a price drop on this one, down to something more realistic ($2.5k negotiable)?  Might be tempted myself.  ::)

Do it Greg, I do miss my Series 3, and having a 2a FFT on the front law at the moment (belongs to Harry D) is not helping me!

I took your lead and made the call once home from work tonight - would you believe it but it sold this afternoon!  Bugger.
