Crump & Cornish hand brake assembly
« on: February 22, 2022, 12:03:07 AM »
I've been searching all over and can't find anything that will suit.
I need to find a hand brake cable stirrup. It might be part of the clevis pin RPS part number 117101-ES2.
It will probably be very hard to find so are there any suggestions on where to get one or two made?

G'day Mick, at the chance of being too simple, what's wrong with the one you have?  If it needs reattachment to the bolt assy, mild steel and cast welding is not hard  and I'd be happy to sort it out for you.  It is probably more complex otherwise you would not have posted.  You have helped me with heaps of things so let me know if a repair is a possibility?  If so, post it down and I'll fix it.  (I know you are very good with your hands too!)

Fair point. Perhaps I should have been a little clearer.
There are two stirrups and three trailers.
I would like one for the third trailer and a spare for a possible fourth trailer.
The stirrup is not welded to the threaded bit. It has a hole in it where the threaded rod passes through and the two nuts are used for adjustment of the brake cable.

Well, I shouldn't have been so hasty.
I have spent hours searching the internet over the past several years. I finally found it.
The part is a Scott Drake C0DD-2A602-A parking brake equalizer as used on a 1966 Ford Mustang.

Now to sort out the clevis and thread bit.
