That one exceeded my price limit quickly. Do you think there will be an auction in Perth with some wrecked vehicles to purchase? Obviously not snr com's. Thanks. Paul.

Anything is possible, but it seems that AFM is mustering all vehicles to Sydney first, prepping them for sale than sending them where they expect a good result.
The recent damaged vehicles in Minto were all genuinly 'Incomplete and non-operational' with 1 exception. Others have sold in Minto and particularly Bris as such but were actually vehicles that had been stripped and cleaned for AQIS for re-entry to Oz after deployment.
AFM has stated that the 'Intention' is that the vehicles are not registered.
Given that the vehicles have not been registered with any RTA/ Transport authority, they therefore do not exist on any WOVR.
I'll leave the rest up to you.
Buying a couple for parts is a very good idea especially at the price they went for last week, 2 vehicles for the price of a 2nd hand engine and gearbox!
Any 6x6 owner needs to take particular care of their vehicle. Getting parts for them will be 'Interesting'!

It's a whole lot of Velcro strips. Reflective strips could be one reason, perhaps for a vehicular game of Laser Tag or Skirmish?

Do we still use miles equipment?

My guess was velcro as well, but for camo 'pads'. I think the poms had something similar on some of theirs (the snatch landys ?)

All of the above sound plausable though....

Gday Paulak, l took my Perentie up to Kosteras in Kalumunda, they are authorised to do inspections. You will need to have an immobiliser fitted, they can organize that as well. The thing is they have passed two Perenties that l know of. If your fuel leak is from a banjo fitting on a fuel line you may need a new gasket seal from Isuzu part no 9095720140 two per fitting. Thanks Johno, I called my local inspection place and quizzed them. A car over 25 yrs old doesn't need an immobiliser fitted and he didn't seem fussed about it being keyless either. Did you leave all your blackouts intact? Paul.

Yes Paul, passed inspection just as it came out of auction. Total cost$954.60 however over 300 of that was plate fee and stamp duty. SMILE at the nice inspector man and comb your hair, good luck . Johno

Stephen, if and when, I would bet Sydney.
With East coast market more cashed up and high international interest a close international port is important.
Stuarts intel has the LRPVs coming to Cdo in Sydney.
It is not inconceivable that they may be passed onto Inf/Armour/Cav recon after being replaced by Hawkei.
Plan Beersheba is also muddying the waters of my scrying pond!
I think you might be guessing by now, the expected release date isn't anytime soon.
Start filling a bucket with your loose change and you will still have time to save up ;-)

I have been told that they will not be auctioned off.  I presume they will be stripped to parts or destroyed.

It isn't like they used DU rounds and are contaminated.
Sounds like 'Policy' to avoid anyone using them anywhere else.

They had one that was just used for shows and recruiting as I drove it(was a few years ago]it had the xt600 I think will have to find the photo

Dave, I was not given any that I can recall, however I believe the latter is the case.  Same for armour etc etc.  I mean my shed would look dead sexy with an ASLAV and Bushmaster in it, but apart from the $$ , it isn't going to happen.

Also I really don't think they are finished with them yet (well all of the vehicles mentioned above)
