Where is the inspection light socket fuse?
« on: May 13, 2018, 06:13:31 PM »
I intend to install a USB power outlet on the passenger side of the Perentie FFR Ammeter/Hour-meter console and was planning on using the power supply to the inspection light socket which is on the driver side of this console. Unfortunately there is no power to this socket at the moment.

Can anyone advise where I can find the fuse for the circuit to the inspection light socket? It has a black wire for the -ve terminal and a purple wire for the +ve terminal. The -ve terminal has continuity to ground and I'm using it for the earth return for my spottie control switches.

Mine had an inline fuse under the cover just near the sockets themselves.

Thanks Dervish.
Untangled the rats nest and found the in-line fuse holder.  One fuse for the inspection light socket. The other has a 10Amp fuse across two white wires - anyone know what they are for?

Here is a pic of the in-line fuse holder and my USB power supply now active.

If memory serves me it goes to the instrument dimmer knob thence to the gauges.
