What is this 101 item

Does anyone know what this item is in the center of the pic - it is under the drivers side cover next to the engine cover which is removed.  The pic is taken from the rear of the drivers side of the engine looking forward.

I cannot find it in the parts manual so may be after market but does sort of look original.

I looks to me like a starter relay. It's around where one should be. It could be an aftermarket replacement.

Thanks you may be correct - subsequent found the disconnected fuel pump dropper and a box on the inside of the front wheel arch where the fuel filler pipe is - so if you do not have this item I will assume it replaces the original one.

I just had a look on one of mine. I don't have one. I can only see a couple of heater hoses.

Thanks Mick - I did find the starter relay in the parts manual - is the little box I mentioned on the drivers guard near the fuel filler - mine is there but no wires connected so it looks as if what I had in the original pic is a replacement - and looks a lot more heavy duty.  I will leave it alone then.
