LR and 4218 Markings on Perentie
« on: August 13, 2017, 10:56:29 PM »
Can anyone shed any light on what the "LR" and "4218" markings represent on a Perentie GS ARN 48-278, or give me a hint as to where I might find any service history on this vehicle.
Thanks

Oops found the anser on FFRman's post Thanks FFRMan, but would still love to know if anyone can tell if this vehicle served anywhere else.

"LR would be Loan Register, 4218 is DNSDC - Moorebank"

Yep you got it!

Anything in the log book?

One of mine from DNSDC - did absolutely nothing for its 23 years in service! But I ended up with a very good vehicle.

By the way DNSDC stands for Don't Know Sh$& Don't Care. Lol. I mean Defence National Storage Distribution Centre.

Cheers

It isn't my vehicle but I'm told the log book doesn't help.  With LR written on it would it have been loaned out to other units needing a vehicle?  It has stretcher holders in the back, were these put in all GS's, I wouldnt have expected them in a distribution type unit.

Mine is a RFSV but the one I was asking about is indeed a GS 110 Perentie. Im not sure about your 66-126 reference above.
