I replaced my starter motor in 2015 with an after market unit which failed me recently and has just been replaced. The starter although 5-6 years old was on a club registered vehicle which has been used no more than 20 days per year failed. The aluminium casting failed which meant splitting the motor from the bellhousing and removing the missing pieces.
Here are some pic`s. It maybe useful if ordering a similiar part.
I decided to fit an old Lucas original starter motor so we`ll see how we go.
