This photo was taken in Tasmania during the Queen and Duke Royal Visit, North Hobart Oval, Hobart. Note the 'beveled' front bumper and the exceptional condition of vehicle.

No, my only involvement has been moral support and a few congratulations.

The restoration was done by a serious enthusiast Keith Cree from Qld, he has a Forward Control on a Perentie 6X6 chassis but last I heard was a GMC 6.7litre V8D and had a turbo 400 but was converting to Isuzu MSA/MXA, also a Tickford 80" to name a few of hs vehicles.  I think the latest project will be an SIIB to original spec.

He sounds like a master, pardon my ignorance but what does a SIIB look like?

Would love to see more photo's of the S1 if possible?

Cheers,

Mick
