Hi all,
just found out about this page, great to see the amount of info in here. I have joined hoping to find an LRPV in decent shape to buy. I have been chasing one for far too long.
Hoping now that I have found you guys I might finally be heading in the right direction. Any help would be awesome.

Scott.

Hi Scott,

Welcome to the forum. Yes, there is lots of great info and experience on REMLR.  It’s a great resource for learning.

I’m a newbie myself after finally picking up a May 1990 build 110 GS with Winch.

I hope you’re made to feel as welcomed as I have been.

Good luck too in your search for a LRPV.

Regards

Acorn

S2a LRPV, they're in short supply.
Perentie LRPV, non existant

IIRC, there is a replica LRPV in NSW or QLD, one (possibly two) in Vic. and I suspect not for sale.
Cliffy has one in WA. Again, I suspect, not for sale.

Tommy (Stuart) would be your last hope. He has a collection of them in WA. Again, probably not for sale but it would be worth while to have a chat with him.

Welcome Scott. Keen on LRPVs too! Go for it.

btw there is a enthusiast, not a museum, doing a Perentie LRPV restoration right now! The dollars involved are presumably 'a lot' as he is aiming at being legal on road. (using a proper body auctioned somewhere which is going on a 6x6 Perentie chassis).

I often wonder what happened to the one I saw in a southern Sydney address years ago, long before the 110's etc were even being thought of pensioned off, cheers

G’day Dennis,

Re: LRPV that you mention you saw a long time ago, was it the 6x6 variant?

And was it at a fabrication shop that built a lot of parts for various Perentie vehicles in Southern Sydney?

I know the bloke with the 6x6 LRPV build project would be interested in finding out any relevant info about the LRPV and the chassis mods done to fit the body.

Regards,
Dopey.

LRPV will cost you about $100000 at the last auction in aug 2023
