I'm fixing up an ex Army 1979 FFR Series 3 with the 6cyl petrol engine.
The carby is stuffed and I'm not even sure its the correct one.
Can anyone tell me which carby was speced for the vehicle?
And - where can I buy a new one or get mine reconditioned if its the right one?
Thank you for any assistance.

A Stromberg/Zenith 175CD - same as a Rover V8, Torana XU1, Jaguar V12 but with jetting to suit each application

Is your carby really stuffed or just need a good cleanout and new diaphragm ?
They behave horribly if the diaphragm is holed.

Andrew, All Four X Four Spares at Kotara (just a mile down the road from you) list a repair kit for the CD Stromberg carby but not the diaphragm on its own. They may be able to organise an overhaul if you don't feel confident to do it yourself. British Auto Parts in Victoria list the diaphragm on its own. I have used a company in Burwood in the past for carby overhauls and have not had a problem. PM me if you need further info.
