Whatever people have as a belief, I just realised that Sell & Parker, the parent company of Australian Frontline Machinery have, since 1998, endowed a paediatric intensive care specialist training position in my place of work.

It does go to show, that despite being a buisness they also have a benevolent side.

Did anyone keep an eye on the latest auction that finished today. It would be nice to see what everything went for.

Cheers

Not easy to re-post the file as it is a .mht file.

Prices varied somewhat.  Mogs were $20-30k except for one that was at $74k.  Canter Trucks / ambulances $30-40k. $11-30k for the S-Line Inter Prime Movers

I did hear from 2 bravo that of the S-Lines, only one was a complete unit, the rest were missing bits and pieces including doors and one had a blown turbo.

Apparently ex 85 transport and 17 Construction.

The 35' tri-axle trailers went for around $30K and the road train converter dollys for high prices as well.

Ok I have worked out how you can determine sold prices...
Here are what the Mogs went for.
Some of these are older than those in the previous auction. Still Lot 4 looks like a comparative bargain!

lot 4
Cargo Crane Truck - 8/1989 Mercedes Benz Unimog UL1700L 4 x 4
Current bid: $34,609
lot 5
Cargo Crane Truck - 11/1987 Mercedes Benz UL1700L Flat Top 4 x 4
Current bid: $74,709
lot 6
Cargo Crane Truck - 6/1987 Mercedes Benz Unimog U1700L 4 X 4 Flat top
Current bid: $38,609
lot 7
Cargo Crane Truck - 12/1984 Mercedes Benz Unimog UL1700L 4 x 4
Current bid: $44,509
lot 8
Cargo Crane Truck - 2/1985 Mercedes Benz Unimog UL1700L 4 x 4
Current bid: $32,209
lot 9
Cargo Crane Truck - 5/1985 Mercedes Benz Unimog UL1700L 4 x 4
Current bid: $30,609

Slight correction 3 out of the 5 Sliners were complete; the 2 left outside had been used to keep others going and were incomplete and one of these was reported to have the blown turbo. I was looking at them and was able to see the books on the 3 complete operational trucks. . None of the trucks had reached a millon KM not bad for 25 year old trucks. 3 of the vehicles had 17th construction markings and 2 of these were the wrecks outside.

The trailers are 41'Frehaufs and went for the low to mid 20's

thanks Roughie !

2 bravo and I were talking about a lot of things and I was under the impression there were only 4 S-Line, but his inspection happened 'through the fence' prior to the official dates.

What was the length of the old Haulmark trailers?

Would still find a lot of use for a S-Line and 41' Freuhauf

Found this Unimog for sale on Gumtree. $75,000.

Could it be Lot 4 (as shown above) as the seller says that it was first registered in 1989. If so, he is asking more than twice what he paid for it :o

I wonder why the army is getting rid of the unimogs with cranes first.

What are they replacing the mogs with???

interesting things include extra cab tray back 6X6 , dual cab 6X6, cook 750kg trailers (are they better than my Haulmark 750kg trailer ?)
