Tray Rack and Bedline treatment in FFR Tray
« on: January 09, 2019, 07:17:17 PM »
I've removed the canvas top and cleared out the tray storage box and am now looking to do one of two things (possibly). One, bedline tray treatment - anyone done this and if so what are the results? I was also, as an alternative,  thinking of stripping and repainting, if i can find those pesky slide strips that are now short of the end after removing the tray storage box (it was rusty). I'm also thinking ease of cleaning and maintaining. Thoughts?

Secondly, Im looking to get a removable 'rooftop' tent for the back tray - has anyone experience of this (i'm sure that will be a yes) and if so what mods did you do? I've seen some images on the 'gram of one 110 with a similar set up, looks pretty versatile.

Thoughts/advice  ;)  appreciated.

Hi,

I can't help you directly with either of your questions BUT Ben from APT has a roof top tent on his Perentie (4x4). I went on a camping trip with him a few years ago and his RTT seemed to work quite well.

I'd suggest contacting him (he also does fabrication work, etc).

Cheers,
GG.
