Sorted lights, accidentally pulled out bullet connectors from the back of the indicator switch.
Still can't get the tail lights working.
GB switch tests OK.
Oil Press switch must be Ok as lights up and goes out on starting.
Might have to by pass for now to get going for pits.

I discovered why the roof is leaking water today. The hatch is in a panel that is pop riveted into the roof. A few of the pop rivets are broken and the roof is lifting. I'll have to drill out the pop rivets, clean out the sealant, add new sealant and re-pop rivet the panel in the roof.
Looking at the service history, this has been a recurring problem. The silly mechanics thought it was the hatch so they sealed it close with silastic.
I'll have to fix that too.

Decided I wanted a little personal storage in the front so I fitted a Defender Cubby Box. Not as easy as I expected as the centre seat cover panel in the defender is a different size to the Perentie, but ended up making it fit. Then I customised the inside with some left over Auscam material to keep the theme!!!!
Also added a C of G sign, which is set up so that when it is in water the nose is slightly down!! Why can't I get it straight sigh!!!!

I was thinking maybe for fitting a ballistic parachute.

Perentie BASE jump, anyone?   ;)

Sorted Reverse lights, wiring is not to the diagrams but found a faulty relay so all good electrics wise (bar 1 dash globe)!
Managed to snap the speedo head but I recon I can fix that McGyver style.
Not so nice was the rust in the drivers side foot well. It's in the usual spot here they go but was not supposed to have any rust. :(
Now I've gotta strip out the floor and work our how I'm going to tackle it as it's in a bugger of a spot being above an outrigger.
Still also chasing the air cleaner in cap to reduce a bit of noise and seal up the air box.
Inspection looking further away now.... :-\

Purchased one, and smiled a lot :D

Today I became the proud owner of ARN 49 010, she was sold in the April, Brissy auction, and apart from a service (by previous owner) is untouched since leaving Grays yard. So still a lot of TLC required.

I have to race off to work now, so I'll post pictures over the weekend.

Cheers to all

Did the seller say why he sold it so soon after buying it?
