Aussie Mil Equipment Collectors (AMEC) will have a number of vehicles on display (on the Cafe side to the rear).

I'm busy loading another trailer in the AM. I'll get there about 1400-1430.

I'll wear a REMLR cap.

101 Ron was heading off somewhere in his (freshly washed) Studebaker 6X6 a couple of hours ago, but he would be rather late getting there if he was in Nowra at mid day.

You cannot just turn up in your vehicle - club displays while not discouraged are very difficult to organise and the AWM red tape is is a mile high with a large number of "coordination" meetings required - and then you end up at the back of the grounds on a public road.

AAVA were invited but the cost of logistcs became the problem, previously on at least one occasion the Army provided transport, but both the AWM and Defence's budgets don't stretch that far these days.

I had to drive past there today and there were a few Champs there but they had to park in the normal carpark along with all the other visitors.

:) imagine every hall and room at the AWM as busy as a Westfield mall, and the grounds outside very busy too.... it was a great success, a great day. I met with other milveh enthusiasts and took a few pics of Landys.
...home tomorrow after 6.
