The Registry Of Ex-Military Land-Rovers Au, NZ, etc Land-Rover Series 2A ¾ Ton RAEME Workshop

The complete story itemising the RAEME Workshop Landy's CES will be written up some day. What we do have so far are RAEME Series 2 Land-Rover pics and documents from 1961. Some of the more obvious CES items and their uses can be spotted in the photos below...

Photographs of some of the different configurations can now be found on a page of photos of Workshop Land Rover Configurations, as well as the trailer counterparts in the Workshop Platform Trailer page.

Both the Series 2A FFR and the Series 2A Workshop variants had a front exhaust due to long periods of engine idling; the Radio truck to keep the batteries charged and the Workshop truck to run the PTO etc. This exhaust arrangement was achieved by reversing the exhaust manifold and fitting the muffler under the steering damper.
