The Registry Of Ex-Military Land-Rovers Au, NZ, etc

The majority of these photographs cover the Coy's time in Vietnam. The last three photographs on this page were taken in Australia or NZ.

Some of these photos came from Glen Hutley, and others from Ron Butcher (Pl sergeant, 1 Platoon).

These photos depict people and machines frp, 1Coy HQ, 1 Tpt. Platoon and 87 Tpt. Pl. Its quite interesting the clarity of some of them, as most were taken on what was known as a 'half frame' camera, designed to get twice as many shots per film.

Note the 70 Tac sign denotes 1 Coy, Div sign denotes 1st pentropic division, Triangle on door denotes 1 Platoon (square=2 circle=3) and the number inside the triangle depicts the vehicle number (5) and section number (3).

Early P2 or P3 undergoing unit evaluation. The gaiters and boots on the digger date this shot a bit to pre 65 at least.
