Haas-Sohn Mobile Field Kitchens

These mobile kitchen trailers were built in 1988 and were intended to feed the masses, literally. With the capacity to make 250 three course meals, or 1000 one course meals in a three hour period. A formidible piece of catering equipment! Some units were sold incomplete, others will a 25kg box containing hot plates, tools and a modified 11x11 tent specifically to house the trailer.

The manufacturers brochure can be downloaded from REMLR here. A hand written notation hidden in the brochure notes a price of $8600. These sold at auction for approximately $2200 so whether that value is what they were expected to fetch at auction, or what the Army purchased them for it is not know.

The ARN details for the trailers can be found on this page. Trailer ARN's
