110-866 Command Recon found
« on: February 01, 2013, 09:32:39 PM »
Snagged a 59' CR the other day.
Remarkably complete, still in OD.
Will post pics later.
Could not get the chassis # but will tomorrow.

So as it turns out it's 110-866 ex vic.
Still has a TAC plate jammed in the holder so I'll get it out tomora and see if I can narrow it down to a unit.

Hello Stephen

Went over to Cliffs the other day to check out the shorty. Very complete and tidy :). Chassis and bulkhead rust free. Apart from a rear corner dent, panels are nice and straight. Great restoration project vehicle.

I'm pretty sure Cliff has not sold the Landy.

Seems to have a series 3 brush bar, otherwise looks really original, don't think I would restore it at all, just get the mechanics right and leave it as original as possible

cheers

Hi there

Great original find-you can tell its been in a dry environment with the red dirt inside...

I have also bought a new toy - hopefully picking it up in three weeks.

I was/am trying to pass it on but apart from a guy who got cold feet when he got home, no takers.
Eveyone says "oh, just too much for me to resore".
I might just keep it. Could store her down on my mates paintball field.

You will see from the pics of CRs in service now posted many did not have brush Bars fitted. The s3 bar would have been added post sale I think.
