When I had my Rfsv when towing my haulmark it would occasionally hit in the drawbar when turning through gulleys. My srv is worse but I have now raised the spare tyre rack up 75mm. Much better. I do think the Rfsv towed boat trailers though in service. Best to ask Dave

I'm no expert but some RFSV carried boats on the roof using special brackets, I sold some of the brackets to Juddy. Whether they also towed boat trailers I have no idea.

They did have boat racks, Dave said they then moved on from those and had trailers.

Some more Pilbara RSFVs in WA, but I have a question.

Have any trailers (No5, Haulmark, Cooks, etc) ever been painted to match with the Pilbara scheme? We have seen a good number of trailers come through the auctions over the past couple of years, but I don't recall yet seeing one in a Pilbara scheme.

I can see that a trailer would increase carrying capacity for an extended stay out in the scrub. With the gear hanging off the back of the RFSVs though, were trailers ever a practical option for bush manoevering and articulation?  And if they are not suited for trailer usage, why haven't the pintle hooks been removed like the Ambulances and Gunbuggies?

Good question.
During my time, trailers where only used to support training courses and forward field positions in support of ops tasking. We used them on some tasking where we provided health support to the communities. But they where never used on a patrol or operational task where they would need to be painted Pilbara Pink.
Thinking about it, there weren't that many trailers about, and we did have MOG & White Fleet access for larger loads.

You need to think and understand how the vehicles are used and some of that borders on breaching opsec so i'll not go into that here.

hope you understand

Hi Scott

Happy to pick up for you.  You need to send me a letter authorising my picking it up and an image of your drivers licence and the same to AFM/Grays.

Don't know how I'll get it down to you though.

I would love to know where this ended up?  The price was up there so wondering if it went local, club or to an offshore buyer.
