I think these are far too wrecked to be fixed in house...
Last time I was down there there were stacks of brand new galvanised chassis, all stock for the BAE Systems re-build line.  However that funding has gone so while the ability to repair still exists the funding doesn't.

I know of about three auto factories that will be available shortly!  ::)

In-house meaning at AFM Minto, not at Bandiana/Pucka/wherever the army stores the wrecks.

I wonder if those new chassis have numbers stamped already, if not would be perfect for my 110 :D

1500 grand

Juddy had me going on that one. lol

1500 grand = $1.5m

How many did you want....

Ok I agree 1500 - 2000 for a parts car, or buy two and make one - still seems OK

here is a lot that may interest some http://www.graysonline.com/lot/0005-3004459/motor-vehiclesmotor-cycles/strong-land-rover-110-4x4-cargo-soft-top-strong

ARN 49547.  We have an archive photo of it in afghanistan, sporting some interesting bolt on's.  We know that armor plating was fitted to a few of our 110's, and while none are in evidence in the 2 photos we have of this vehicle in afghanistan, there is an interesting plate bolted to the outside of the ROPS which appears to still be there in the auction photos.

THat same plate does appear on the photos we have of an armounred unit with armor bolted to it (or so it appears).  we have no details of the armor kit as it is a defence modification, not land rover, but interesting none the less.   We have a couple of photos of these armored landies, but certatinly no details, and only the registration of this one with the plates, but no armor bolted on.

Yes Richard... She's a lot cleaner than when I saw her last in Tarin Kowt.

Missed out, Mr J.A - Surrey Hills VIC ran me up past my limit in the last 10 minutes........... I hope he knows what he got, and hope he finds his way here.

Still want one from over there - do we know how to get a list of ARN's that where over there??

It's being worked on Scott.

I found the ARN of the FFR in one of my Photos - 48-950.  It recently went to auction in NSW.

Nice, un-modified example of 70's built rear lighting style, and also rare to see with the duck-bill tow pin still in place. Good score!

If you are able to I would very much appreciate it. I need to give the 110 a good service as its an 8000 km round trip. At least I know the way having just driven 48964 home.

Do you want me to shorten the journey?

I need to add som Ks to the D4 before the end of March lest I put myself in another FBT bracket, I could perhaps take it to Wagga Wagga or even Mildura and you can take it on from there.  The fuel is in the lease.

I am on leave from Christmas Eve till the 5th Jan.
