G'Day folks, I apologise for any concern over my apparant thread hijack. I wasn't being cheeky, I simply could not find a better place for the post.
Geoff has squared things away with the relocation into Vehicles for sale.
There are a few members here waiting for the Guides so was attempting to get the message out as some are keen to buy from this round.
Thanks, BDave.
Kind Regards, Barefoot Dave.

Couple of nice Tenix soft top rebuilds up in Winnellie, one of which is incomplete.   Looks like a lot of my projects, only a Lot neater.

$1800 to get one down to Tassie ..... very sad!
What you need is someone to drive it down for you.

Did I just hear you volly, Mick?   :P ;D

I worked out that it would cost me about the same to drive it down myself, so getting one carried down is a whole lot easier.
Cheers,  Daryl.

I could but it might not make it past Victoria.

there is a nice ffr on greys at mino,it looks like it has been on the rebuild line and they have stoped it,thrown all the bits in the back and sent it to greys.
Looks like it would be a good buy.

It appears to be a recent repatriation from service OS.
They are stripped to access all areas for cleaning. This one seems to be stripped to the next level, I haven't seen any before with the dash removed.
Perhaps AQIS found, like me, noodle packets and plant material in an IIMV after its return and immediate disposal from Timor L'Este and decided to increase the level of cleaning required.
Someone here is very interested, so maybe best to declare to prevent a Blue-on-Blue over it ;)
Cheers, Dave.

The ex SASR TD5s that were returned from Iraq/Afghanistan were so comprehensively stripped down by AQIS that they were deemed economically unviable to rebuild. All the dash, engine bay and lighting wiring was unbound, cut and high pressure washed.

I was interested, but the price is already crazy high for something that'll take weeks to put back together. Even if the gal appears fresh...

Is there anyone able to pick up a no 5 trailer for if I win one at the Minto auction? Unfortunately I work at Warburton WA for the next two weeks and will be unable to go get it as I did with FFR 48 964 at the last auction. I'm about to have a long break and will fit the FFR out with 77sets to use with the cadet units I look after. Thanks to anyone able to help. Brian

Hi Brian

Wouldn't it be better to wait for an Adelaide or Perth auction?  They would be closer to you.

However If you need it picked up at Minto I could pick it up on Friday.

Thanks Diana, I'll see how the bidding goes. I'd rather get one now from Minto and have the time to get set up for the new year.  My new cadet job will have me going to Karratha and Port Hedland as well as Esperance, Kal and Perth. The FFR will be set up as a comms centre and there will be a fair bit of gear for me to carry. I've got the use of 49 505 and trailer when I require it but its a GS and I cant go sticking my radio gear etc in that Landi until it goes to auction and I buy it. That  could be a while.

What's happened to all the cooks trailers? Are they all gone or is there still some in service?

No idea, however I still prefer the Haulmark PT1-1.2 http://www.graysonline.com/lot/0051-5008232/transport-trucks-and-trailers/haulmark-pt1-1-2-single-axle-cargo-trailer-mc2-06-2004

I find they are more usable and you can sleep in them on a stretcher.  The two at auction this week are both missing their bows.
