Perentie 6x6 crew cab
« on: August 13, 2021, 08:49:01 PM »
I would like to know if there are any more or if anyone knows if there are any for sale or coming up in the Australian frontline machinery military auctions?
I've found a couple from a few years ago on grays online & lloydsonline, a few in America but none here in Australia

Also is there anyway or anyone that can give or get an upgraded towing spec for the 6x6?

Yeah. What everybody wants to know.
No idea if there are any crew cabs left. If there are, they're going to be hotly contested.

Yes, there is an upgrade solution for towing capacity.

You get a towbar manufacturer to manufacture, fit and engineer said towbar.
Several have been done already. Find a VASS engineer and discuss it with them.

What is your location and what do you want to tow?

Plenty of discussion and information on this around in the usual places.

Want to tow a 3.2-3.5t van
I don't know the usual places that's why I'm asking the questions before forking out $30k or so I've tried searching threads on here but obviously not the right ones

Have a trawl through the Perentie facebook pages.
You might also find something on AULRO.

I stumbled across a website somewhere. A fellow who makes a tow bar in Melbourne.

Also, have a chat to the boys at KLR.

G’day Kobsperentie,
There is a Perentie 6x6 Crew Cab currently for sale on various Perentie Facebook pages, the feller selling it is asking $95,000.00, he has done a lot of work on it since purchasing, with a considerable amount of money spent on it.

I also have one too and if I was to consider selling mine I would be asking similar money for mine too (upgraded turbo, Puma defender doors, central locking, power windows, upgraded seats, rebuilt front suspension, new tyres and wheels & engineered for tyres and wheel combination & other things, trutrac front diff, intermediate and rear diff both have Detroit lockers, plus many other bits and pieces.

The last ones that I know of that sold through the auctions sold for roughly between $60,000 to $75,000 including buyers premium and gst, they both needed considerable work on them and they didn’t come with brown slips.
