PDWA Brake Failure Shuttle Valve - Switch
« on: May 11, 2020, 06:17:02 PM »
My 101 has a PDWA Brake Failure Shuttle Valve that alerts if their is a pressure difference in the two brake circuits and closes the circuit that is loosing fluid.

These valves were fitted to the RRC, I am sure they are in the Perenties and possibly the later Series 3 109s.

I have broken off the electrical switch that sits on top of the valve and cannot find anyone on line who sells just the switches.  So does anyone know who might sell just the switch for the PDWA?

Secondly, does anyone know if the switch can be replaced without interrupting fluid in the system - meaning a bleed of the system.

Thanks

Garry

Thanks

Garry

Hi Brian - no I dont - it sits on the inside of the chassis down beside the engine - is hard to get at and wont photograph well.

However these I found on the web.

Hi Gary,

Never had need to try it but trying looking at switch AAU2454.
Yes you can change it without disturbing the fluid, fluid does not enter the centre of the shuttle valve where the switch is placed.

Thanks Darren - that number looks like the start of the search.  When searched it also comes up with alternative numbers for the same switch but with different plugs.

Great stuff

Thanks
