#5 Trailer Dimensions
« on: April 23, 2020, 11:35:14 AM »
Hello Gents,

I'm planning a project for one of my trailers and am not at the farm at the moment. Would anyone happen to have the internal measurements of the box of a #5 trailer handy please?

I'm planning to build a wooden frame to fit snug inside the box which I can mount things on.

On another note, has anyone successfully converted the box into a hinged gate arrangement?

I am pretty sure that REMLR has the drawings for the No. 5 somewhere on the homepage. Try a google search with no.5 and remlr in the title,

A friend made a steel rack to mount in each interior cnr, i can measure it asap. It was for a popup tent.

Thank you, Charlie.
Here it is...

Great info. I can plan my construction now. Thank you, Gents.

Carzee you should post a pic of the finished item. Sounds interesting.

What's the max weight you've heard of a No. 5 being loaded to? I'm looking at a metric ton! In fact around 1030Kgs including some bits and pieces. It's a 1000 litre IBC.

We had some in the ARes with a water bladder in them, but I don't know how much the bladder held.

Another time I remember completely filling the trailer with water jerries, which were full, so you should be able to calculate the mass of them fairly easily,
