No compliance plate - VINS don’t match

Anyone able to outline their recent experience registering the Perentie, Unimog or Mack vehicles in Victoria, auctioned noting “no CP” or VINS don’t match? There are some in this current auction. Possibly ex training aids, or full rebuilds? Thanks.

My experience.... although noted as 'not compliant, VINS don't match', they actually did match.  If you know of anyone attending inspection day, it might be an idea to have them check the numbers.
