Perentie Power Steering Conversion
« on: February 02, 2019, 12:47:04 PM »
Hi,
I'm just in the process of doing a power steering conversion and have a few questions.
1. How do you fill the system up with fluid is there a technique and does it need bleeding (I see a bleed nipple on top of the steering box)?
2. Any specific fluid I should use or is something like Penrite Power Steering Fluid good?
3. Also any other tips or tricks anyone can offer with the conversion?
Thanks

Here is a 2014 thread that mentions the bleeding etc.

Thanks Carzee for the link found below info helpful

"As BadCo says I think you have air in the steering box, there is a blled nipple on top, turn full lock one way then the other then open the bleed nipple (with engine still running) it will froth out until just fluid out, the close nipple, repeat process. This should bleed the system properly"
