Mix n match fittings for 110's
« on: September 20, 2018, 09:23:22 AM »
I'm interested in getting a FFR 110 at some point, my opinion is that the chassis for the 110 would be almost the same across the range, what I would like to know are fittings from and in particular the double spare wheel carrier from the RFSV left rear could/would this adapt to the rear of an FFR cheers Dennis
ps I have always disliked the idea of the spare being up under the rear,,.

Hi Dennis, here are some decent web photos of the double tyre platform in question showing the mounts and reinforcement parts.

This has the manuf. number. The upper plate goes over the top of the normal tub capping and there is a reinforcing plate down the inside of the interior.

I have little doubt it can be fitted if you purchase one. [[ And you'd do a better job of fitting it than the factory. ]]

Found that RFSV Mk2 aka Mass Reduction Kit Installation pam illustrates the job of fitting the twin tyres platform. Part of the mounting of the assembly uses the pair of 10mm mount holes in the rear bodywork previously used by the passenger-side twin jerrycan holder top clamp bracket (which has reinforcing brace on the inside). You also have to drill the lower pair of same size holes and brace those too.

I will attach the pam files below.
