NZ Stage 1 V8 Gathering
« on: April 06, 2018, 04:53:36 PM »
While everyone else was celebrating the 70th anniversary of Land Rovers, a small group got together in New Zealand to promote their ex-NZ Army Stage 1 V8's. Not all of them were V8's however, with one of the vehicles being one of the converted 300tdi vehicles for the UN mission in Bosnia.

NZ purchased 566 Stage 1 V8's between 1982 and 1987. This vehicle is NZ060, a 1982 vehicle. Along with the 300Tdi, the conversion also included an LT77 and LT230 and a disc brake rear end. As the 300Tdi stands vertically, additional under-bonnet clearance was required when replacing the 3.5l V8, so the bonnet bracing was also cut back.
