I did like some of the civvy LRs...
a Tarzan era wagon... seemed to be in every James Bond movie in the '60s.

There was a slope behind the trailer, you could've reversed it out of camera view. "Trust the gear" as they say in Para courses.

Hey Dervish, can you please give us a briefing on the engine & turbo set up in that 2A ?

Not much I can tell you about it, the technology would point to it being from the very early days of the turbocharger. It was obviously a kit made specifically for the 2.25 but I don't recall seeing a name on the castings. Perhaps sold as an alternative to the Holden six. It must put terrible strain on the turbo having the throttle butterfly upstream.

Here is some photo`s of FFRMAN`s, Mike K, and I`s trip to Cooma. We had a fantastic trip, dropping in on some fantastic military vehicle collections along the way and having Hot Rod join us at Adelong.

This was a great trip, I was very impressed with the 2 2As in particular, they ran really well! Blew out a few cobwebs, all the way from Melbourne and back, and less than 2 weeks after Corowa - not bad for 48 year olds.

It is always good to see 178 193 together with Micks LRPV 178 204, they are only 13 chassis numbers apart and share a bit of history together we think.

I have to say that I was very surprised to win that award, there were other more deserving vehicles there in my honest opinion. Anyway, it was very unexpected, thanks for everyones kind comments about the vehicle.

Looking forward to the next trip, I really enjoyed this one and now have a new blue shirt as well!
