Well, here is a mock-up of the shirt using the green hat logo. I think the hat logo works very well.

I think we agree that the spot for the embroidered patch is above the pocket.
I think we need to decide to get a profesional supplier to make finished LS and SS shirts (winter and summer) , saw some at work with sewn logo and they do look a grade above sewn on patches.

I like the idea of a Kelly Green or a Khaki work shirt style REMLR shirt, but I reckon something olive drab like the old jungle greens shirts would be more apt. They make close repros of the greens shirts, and I've even seen repros of the VN-era Pixie shirts with their slant pockets and FFD pockets at the shoulders.

Use of an embroidered olive drab greens style shirt would set REMLR apart from all the other clubs out there with their embroidered fishing or work shirts.

Huss makes them and they come in sizes from Small to 5XL. They are polycotton with a decided lean toward the poly content so are suitable for hot weather.

See page 7 of the Huss catalogue - http://www.huss.com.au/resources/catalogue/Huss_Catalogue.pdf item ARMY SHIRT (LONG SLEEVE) (colour - OLIVE CFS03)

Here's a pic of one I found on ebay:

Sure, the buttons are all wrong, but that will just give us OCD folks hours of fun sewing on the proper ones...

These shirts are a generic item also sold under the brand name "Commando". Mitchell's disposals sells them - http://www.mitchellsadventure.com/product/new-army-shirt/cs0041.aspx

The Huss one looks good.

We have about 16 weeks until the Sydney LR Expo. I'd like to aim for that as a target date, 3rd weekend in September i think.

I thought I'd seen a suggestion previously of using a national multi store work wear supplier.
Criteria could be set for the colour/s and style/s with the location of the embroidery work kept on file.
This is done for many company uniforms so once set up each store does the work required.

As anyone wants a shirt they could then try the shirt on in store and do the order locally.
This would eliminate the post each way option and the work of one person doing all the work while keeping consistency.

Most of https://www.hippocketworkwear.com.au/ are independents and I'm sure would be able to meet our requirements.
